Life is pretty crazy right now. I mean school as an engineering student really sucks at times; with homework, exams, and plenty of group projects. Life as a young woman in engineering though, surprisingly is quite empowering. I love that my major (Industrial Engineering) has so many women that I seldom feel out of the ordinary. The male students, today, still out number us but there are definitely enough females to break the stereotype. I love it.
Although school is great, I feel that it takes me away from living the life that I want to be living. That life consists of traveling, going to concerts, and pretty much just enjoying the world at my young age. But school often does not allow that and pretty much consumes my life. For example, today I arrived for class at 8 am and I will be going home most likely around 8 pm; meaning that by the end of today I will have been on campus for exactly 12 hours. Wow.
I need to gain some understanding on how to not let school consume everything I have. Luckily I attend church on weekends and spend time with friends and my boyfriend, but it does not feel like enough. It feels like there often is not enough time in a day for all that I have and want to do. Hmmm... until next time. I have my electrostatic physics lab right now. Fun.
